目前，塑料模具制造在整個模具行業中所占的比例高達30%，可見，塑料模具加工工藝的重要意義。現階段，塑料模具已經應用在航天航空、儀表機電以及汽車等制造行業中。因此，塑料模具加工工藝具有非常好的發展前景。下面，筆者就塑料模具加工工藝現狀，對塑料模具加工工藝未來發展趨勢進行分析。

1）氣體輔助成型技術日趨成熟

近幾年，氣體輔助成型技術在塑料模具加工中逐漸得到應用。目前，已經有部分企業將氣體輔助成型技術應用在洗衣機外殼、電視機外殼以及汽車裝飾物件等塑料物件加工工藝中，并且取得了非常好的效果。

2）熱流道技術應用廣泛

雖然熱流道塑料模具應用所占比例不高，但是熱流道技術在塑料模具加工行業中的發展速度非常快，目前，熱流道技術在塑料模具加工工藝中的應用率已經達到了33.33%。比較常見的熱流道加工技術分為三種，分別是一般內熱式、分流板式以及外熱式。

隨著新技術、新工藝的不斷引進，塑料模具的使用壽命得到延長。目前，我國高速塑料異型材的加工速度已經達到了商業化加工速度。塑料異型材的基礎模式可分為雙腔共擠以及多腔共擠兩種模式。我國有較多的企業已經在塑料模具加工過程中，精心設計自動脫流道模進而冷卻系統，這令塑料模具加工效率得到了顯著的提高。
